Where should I place the sauna?
Sauna Placement Requirements
1. Recommended Location
Install the sauna under a roof to protect it from direct sun, rain, and moisture exposure.
Place it in an area fully protected from water where rain or splashing cannot reach the wood or electrical components.
Sauna Ordering Requirements
2. Size & Space
Ensure you have enough room for the sauna dimensions including ventilation space around the unit.
Sauna Dimensions
The sauna has the following external measurements:
Width: 1.20 m
Depth: 1.05 m
Height: 1.90 m
3. Electrical Requirements
**Saunas require a 127‑volt 20 A power outlet and 20A breaker. This needs to be installed by a certified electrician. **
Verify the outlet has the correct amperage capacity for your sauna model. The outlet must be dedicated, safe, and compliant with local electrical standards.
Where should I place the cold plunge?
Cold Plunge Placement Requirements
1. Recommended Location
Place the cold plunge under a roof to protect the tub, chiller, and electronics from direct sun and rain.
Install it on a water‑safe floor where splashes or minor leaks can drain safely without causing damage.
2. Electrical Requirements
Requires two 127‑volt outlets 16A.
Outlets must be dedicated, properly grounded, and located near the installation area.
3. Ventilation
Provide adequate ventilation for the chiller to prevent overheating.
Avoid enclosed or tightly sealed spaces.
4. Water Connections
Ensure access to a water supply for filling and maintenance.
Confirm compatibility with standard hose or plumbing connections.

Cold plunge tub: 1.20 m long × 0.75 m wide
Chiller unit: 0.50 m × 0.50 m
Ensure enough space for installation and airflow around both components.
What Can I Expect from My First Sauna or Cold Plunge?
First‑time sauna users most often experience dizziness, dehydration, lightheadedness, and drops in blood pressure, while first‑time cold‑plunge users most often experience cold‑shock breathing, rapid heart rate, and a spike in blood pressure. Both are generally safe for healthy people when done briefly and cautiously, but each carries specific risks you should know before trying them.
🌡️ First‑Time Sauna Side Effects
Most common reactions
Dizziness or lightheadedness from blood pressure changes as heat causes blood vessels to widen.
Dehydration due to heavy sweating — you can lose up to a pint of sweat in a short session.
Nausea or fatigue if you stay too long or aren’t hydrated.
Skin dryness (especially in dry Finnish saunas).
Less common but important risks
Blood pressure drops when standing up or exiting the sauna.
Blood pressure spikes if you go from sauna → cold water too abruptly.
Burns from touching hot surfaces or staying in extreme heat too long.
Worsening of certain conditions (pregnancy, uncontrolled hypertension, recent heart attack).
Safe first‑time guidelines
Start with 5–10 minutes max.
Hydrate before and after (2–4 glasses of water).
Leave immediately if you feel faint, nauseated, or confused.
Avoid alcohol beforehand — it increases dehydration and risk of fainting.
❄️ First‑Time Cold Plunge Side Effects
Most common reactions
Cold shock response: rapid breathing, gasping, and increased heart rate.
Blood pressure spike due to sudden vasoconstriction.
Numbness in hands/feet from reduced blood flow.
Shivering and muscle tension as your body tries to warm itself.
More serious risks
Hypothermia if you stay too long — can occur in as little as 10 minutes in very cold water.
Breathing difficulties or hyperventilation, especially in people with asthma.
Heart rhythm disturbances in people with cardiovascular disease.
Skin or nerve damage with prolonged exposure.
Safe first‑time guidelines
Start with 1–2 minutes at 50–59°F (10–15°C).
Never go below 40°F (4°C) as a beginner.
Exit immediately if you feel dizzy, confused, or can’t control your breathing.
Warm up gradually afterward (not with a hot shower right away).
🔥❄️ If You’re Combining Sauna + Cold Plunge
The hot‑cold cycle is popular, but first‑timers should be cautious.
Risks of combining
Sudden blood pressure spikes when going from hot to cold.
Potential heart strain for people with cardiovascular issues.
Safer approach
Do one cycle only your first time.
Sauna 10 minutes → cool down briefly → cold plunge 1 minute.
Avoid if you have heart disease, uncontrolled hypertension, or Raynaud’s.
🧭 Should You Be Concerned?
For healthy adults, mild side effects are normal. The biggest risks come from:
Staying too long
Temperatures that are too extreme
Pre‑existing heart or circulation problems
Alcohol use
Being alone without supervision
If you have any medical conditions (heart disease, asthma, diabetes, pregnancy, circulation issues), talk to a doctor before trying either practice.
Can I get spare parts from you if something stops working
Yes, we keep all spare parts in stock for both warranty repairs and post‑warranty service for our saunas and cold plunges.
